Sekuriteitsligte: Skelms en inbrekers skuil baie maklik in die donker wanneer hulle 'n voertuig sien of hoor in die straat. Die installering van sekuriteitsligte sal daartoe bydra dat die gewapende reaksie voertuie die ligte sal sien wat aan en afskakel.

Identiteitsdokumente: Verkry afskrifte van Identiteitsdokumente van mense wat vir u werk. Dring ook aan dat kontrakteurs afskrifte van Identiteitsdokumente van werkers aan u oorhandig. Hou dit op rekord - dit kan selfs by latere misdaad ondersoek word.

Tips for Parents:

Teach your children important phone numbers to use in an emergency, and keep a more detailed list somewhere accessible to them.

Have your children practice reciting their home phone number and address, and your work and cell phone numbers. Always tell your children where you will be and the best way to reach you.

Get to know your children's friends.

Meet their parents before letting your children to go to their home and keep a list of their phone numbers. If you can't meet their parents, call and talk to them.

Work together with your neighbours.

Watch out for suspicious and unusual behaviour in your neighbourhood. Get to know your neighbours and their children so you can look out for one another.

Burglars .... things they won't tell you

Of course I look familiar. I was here just last week cleaning your carpets, painting your shutters, or delivering your new refrigerator.

Hey, thanks for letting me use the bathroom when I was working in your yard last week. While I was in there, I unlatched the back window to make my return a little easier.
