At the Northpine City Improvement District (NCID), our Urban Management initiatives are at the heart of our commitment to making our community a better place to live, work, and visit. We go beyond standard municipal services to ensure our public spaces are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Our Core Urban Management Activities:
*Enhanced Cleansing:* We provide additional street sweeping, waste picking, and refuse collection in all public areas. Our dedicated team works Monday to Friday to keep Northpine spotless.
*Infrastructure Monitoring:* We identify and report issues with public infrastructure—such as pavements, streetlights, road markings, and traffic signs—to the City of Cape Town via the C3 system and follow up until repairs are completed.
*Greening Initiatives:* We are working with the City's Recreation and Parks department to add greenery and plants to open spaces, and to assist residents with community vegetable gardens.
*Public Safety:* Through partnerships like the recent donation of four high-value e-bikes from the Mayor and Green Riders, we are enhancing visible patrols and improving our response times to keep our community safe.
We are proud of the progress we are making. Get Involved:
